The symbolism is superficially extremely important to her, including to but no specifically, rebirth, change, transformation and regeneration. Also even though they live in darkness they are attracted to light, which mirrors certain aspects of her life in the past. She also been recently exploring process and opening up new doors and avenues within her work, creating smaller pieces of work but pushing with different processes to improve her work technically as well as aesthetically.
